FAQ
Will Jiu-Jitsu Teach My Child To Be Hostile And Aggressive?
Absolutely not. Children learn a lot about what it means to be respectful and polite here. As a result, kids who weren't violent in the first place become even more respectful and kind. Kids with behavior problems often become very respectful and calm.
Can My Child Get Injured in Jiu-Jitsu ?
As a parent, I'm sure you've seen that kids can get injured doing just about anything. Jiu-Jitsu is no different, however we take safety very seriously here. Yes, injuries do sometimes happen. But we do everything in our power to avoid them.
Can my child do Jiu-Jitsu if they are not the athletic type?
Yes! In fact, Jiu-Jitsu is often a place where kids who don’t do well in traditional team sports excel and do extremely well. And its ok if your child is not athletic right now. Through our classes, they will progressively get in better shape and start to become more and more athletic.
Do Kids Enjoy Jiu-Jitsu? Do They Stick With It For A While?
Kids have a blast here. There's smiling and laughter throughout every class. We have our moments of intense concentration and focus... but we always balance things out with fun and games to keep everything fun and interesting.
Will Jiu-JItsu Improve My Child's Confidence?
Yes! Jiu-Jitsu is a powerful source of confidence for kids. They practice hard and learn techniques in order to advance through the ranks. And as they advance, their confidence grows. After all, they're the ones doing all the work - so they feel all of the accomplishment whenever they learn a new move... achieve a new belt... or get praise from their fellow students and instructors.
Is Jiu-Jitsu For Boys AND Girls? Or Just Boys?
Jiu-Jitsu is for boys and girls. Our classes have a good mix of both, too. So if you're worried about your girl being alone in a group of boys, rest assured she will not be alone!
